The SMI Aussie Rocket Stove™ XP Windshield is a simple 3-piece slot together accessory that locates on the SMI Aussie Rocket Stove™ XP “cookware support bars” on the 3 corresponding slots. The opening of the windshield (open face) when set up should align with the fuel feed chamber of the rocket stove below it.

Ideally used when heat retention is paramount in windy cool conditions when using smaller cookware items such as billy’s, kettles and saucepans to protect wind from robbing heat thus improving heating and cooking efficiency.

When used the windshield restricts the maximum diameter of circular cookware to 200mm.Effective height from the top of the cookware support bars to the top of the windshield is 160mm. When using large diameter cookware (bigger than 200mm in diameter) the windshield will need to be removed for use.

Set up the windshield measures 210mm L x 220mm W x 200mm H and the 3 components comprising the windshield weigh 1.535kg. The windshield is made from BlueScope Xlerplate™ Tru-Spec™ steel in a 1.6mm thickness.
